Powerless.

Most of us were lucky enough to be born into a loving family. Whether you were an only child or adopted, God created you.

The most important role of a parent or guardian is caring for the child and teaching them discipline.

If a child were abandoned or left to their own devices, who knows how they would learn to grow.

Kids start out powerless. They depend on someone for food, shelter and safety. They are completely dependent on another for living day to day.

I compare this to being a Christian. Without God, I am powerless over my circumstances. I trust God to provide for me what I need and to protect me from harm.

Teach your kids about God, because when a child learns about God and the truth is planted deep within their hearts, it will always be there.

With God in my life, I have the Holy Spirit to guide me each day. This is the same spirit that brought Jesus out of the grave.

The Apostle Paul famously wrote about his own struggles, noting that God assured him, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Paul concluded that when he was weak, he was actually strong because he relied on Christ's power.

How about you? Feeling powerless today? You can’t do this life on your own, so why not trust God. Let go of worry, and let God fill your life with strength and direction.

Isaiah 40:29 - “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
