Big brother.

In the late 90’s something started happening to our world that would change the world’s trajectory forever.

Computers were already on the scene, but the invention of the iphone appeared and nothing else of that significance has come along since.

Fast forward a couple more decades and these devices are intelligent enough to know and detect our every move.

They call it, “big brother.” Did you know that people can use computers to look at your smartphone and see what you have searched for the day before, by looking at your search history, seeing what you purchased, or even sites you visited?

But there’s only one person in the universe that knows your every thought, your every move and what you’re planning or thinking of doing. God knows your heart. He sees your thoughts; He sees pain and sorrow, and He knows what will happen tomorrow.

But take heart because even though God created us in His image and knows us by name, we still have choices. We’re not created as robots. No one can program our brain to think a certain way.

We can decide to follow Jesus.

And even though we live in a world of tracking devices and ‘big brother’ watching our every move, only God knows the heart of each and every one of us.

That’s a comfort to me, knowing God’s got this. He’s always with me, in the good times and the bad.

What about you? Are you willing to open your heart to God?

Quit looking over your shoulder and let God into your heart today.

Matthew 25:40 - “We are taught as a young child to obey our parents. Obedience is a learned characteristic that creates a bond in a family.”
