Words matter.
I used to love watching my youngest grandchild trying to form sentences. Finding words and articulating them into an understandable conversation is adorable on a 2 year old.
As adults, how we use our words matter when telling someone about Jesus. I can’t just say Jesus saved me and leave it at that. Most people don’t understand what the phrase ‘being saved’ means.
We can start by asking, did you know that we all have a purpose? God sent His only Son to this world to save us from a life of destruction and death. God loves us and He doesn’t want our life to end in devastation.
It’s as simple as this: Jesus (God’s son), died so we can live. Jesus is alive again and is coming back some day to take us home to Heaven.
The words we choose to speak can bring encouragement, love, and healing, or they can cause hurt, division, and destruction. Words matter. Choose to bring life into every conversation.
Proverbs 18:21 - “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
