Obedience.
We are taught as a young child to obey our parents. Obedience is a learned characteristic that creates a bond in a family.
In the Bible, obedience generally refers to submitting to the Will and commands of God. It’s not merely about following the rules, but about a deeper commitment to a relationship with God that is expressed through obedience.
As a Christian, I have learned that obedience starts in the heart, but is confirmed in the steps we take.
Does your heart and your walk with God look the same, or do you even have a relationship with God?
It is through obedience that Christians demonstrate their love for God and experience His love in return.
James 1:22 - “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”
