Skin deep.

I can remember the teenage years being filled with feelings of insecurity, self-doubt. I watched as the rich girls in my class, who were more popular, kept the attention of everyone.

I imagine this still goes on today, and not only in the teenage population.

The Bible says that beauty comes from within, not from the outward appearance. There will always be women that capture the hearts of many by their beauty. But, beauty eventually fades, and without God in your life, you’re left empty and alone.

I would rather be known as a woman of God; a beautiful soul. Beauty to me is someone who walks in a room, who exudes the characteristics of a gentle spirit and kind heart.

The beauty of a person should not be defined by their outward appearance, but by what’s on the inside. Beauty shows best in what we do and who we know, the Creator of the universe.

A woman or man that fears God and follows Him faithfully, day after day; now that’s a beautiful thing. God sees you as a masterpiece.

How about spending more time on getting your heart ready, instead of spritzing up the physical appearance.

How deep is your love for God? Does He know you? Take time today to get your heart ready.

1 Peter 3:3-4 - “Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.”
