Gratitude.

Gratitude is a state of being that illuminates the soul.

We, specifically in the United States, are so blessed. There are so many things to be thankful for, that we tend to take for granted; running water, a warm house, etc.

So how is your attitude towards gratitude?

The Bible teaches that gratitude is a core Christian practice, a command to be expressed in all circumstances—good or bad—as God's will, fostering peace, joy, and a right relationship with God.

So, why don’t we see more grateful people? Most have lost sight of the true meaning of Christmas. Some think that Christmas is just a time for Santa and getting as many gifts as you can.

Thankfulness should be a way of life for us, naturally flowing from our hearts and mouths.

We should be thankful because God is worthy of our thanksgiving. I see people all the time, only thanking God when something good happens, or when help has come.

When we are thankful, our focus moves off selfish desires and off the pain of current circumstances. So, let’s change our focus on “it’s all about me,” to being grateful for the One who gave us life.

Let your soul be bright and shine to those around you, thankful for the God above who gives every perfect gift to His children.

How about changing your attitude towards gratitude? Be more kind and thankful and see what happens.

Psalms 136:1 - “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever.”
