Gimme list.
In this world of instant satisfaction, you can (with the right money) have almost anything you want, anytime you want it. The Bible teaches that instant satisfaction from the world is temporary, deceptive, and spiritually empty.
Jesus teaches that true and lasting satisfaction comes only from God, not from material things. He states that earthly pursuits leave people empty and thirsty again, while a relationship with Him provides eternal fulfillment for the soul.
Please don’t think that God is a ‘genie in a bottle.’ He doesn’t give us everything we want; He gives us everything we need, one day at a time. But, without the relationship between us and Christ, this is all null and void.
We also can’t just dump all our problems on God and say, ‘fix this.’ We can not give God our ‘gimme list’ and expect Him to fulfill it.
True biblical satisfaction is treated as a spiritual thirst or hunger that is quenched only by a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Be thankful for all that God has blessed you with and thank Him each morning for the gift of life!
Psalm 107:8-9 - “Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.”
