Endurance.
One way to describe endurance is the physical strength such as in a marathon, giving birth, or it can be pushing through an exhausting mental situation or stressful time.
Last year I spent a week with my two youngest grandkids, ages 3 and 5. Talk about endurance! It was up to me to keep them fed, safe and happy for one week. I made it, with a lot of not only physical strength, but a little patience and a whole lotta love.
What about our endurance as Christians? Do we have what it takes to endure hardship, challenges or the tragedies ahead? The Bible teaches that endurance is essential for Christians. Life is hard, and fiery trials will befall us. However, endurance is a gift from God, and it can be gained through discipline and pushing ourselves beyond our limits.
So, the next trial you face, know that God is in it also. He is right by your side, giving you the strength and abilities you need to get to through whatever you’re facing.
When life gets hard, push through. Don’t look back but go forward. Persevere and don’t give up.
Galatians 6:9 - “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
