Checking in.

I love my quiet time with God every morning; time to sit and talk to Him, like He’s sitting next to me. But, also a time to listen and just be; a time to check in.

There have been occasions though when I reach for my phone, not even realizing I’m scrolling through social media.

The internet and the invention of social media is one of the devil’s sharpest tools. It distracts us, it makes us vulnerable to the comparisons of our lives, our bodies, but worse than all of that is that it takes our eyes off God and onto the world’s arena.

Our best weapon against satan’s ploys is to stay in God’s word, keep a close and intimate relationship with God in order to discern what’s from God and what is not.

Have you checked in with God today? Start by just thanking Him for the life you’ve been given, the hope of tomorrow. Seek God’s wisdom and will for your life. God has shown up so many times in my life, especially when I’ve needed Him most. Check in with God today!
