Thursday, February 28 - Sharing the good news

Our mission to Boca Colorado, Peru is complete for now. We take with us a few memories; we leave behind over 60 conversions to Christ. My prayer is that God works through these 60 people and from that comes a revival like the area has never seen.

From my team, we each have personal stories to share that hopefully I’ll get to share with you.

I will say that personally, when I go on a mission trip, I start out wondering about my physical stamina and overall physical health. But, I can honestly say that once I get on the mission field, I have yet to think about myself. It’s a peace that comes over me the minute I enter these areas that is without a doubt, God infused.

When you’re working with a team like the men and women of COS, (Church of the Savior), you form a bond that is full of camaraderie, laughter, tears, prayers and fellowship. We are all there for one purpose, to reflect Jesus. We are all there to serve the people. We are all there to worship and lift God up to a forgotten people.

The travel wearies are all but forgotten. I’ll write more in my personal blog later of the moments that stood out on this mission trip, and there were many.

We are all safe and back home, but our mission is far from over. I pray that each of us continue to spread the news of Jesus throughout our family, our community, on the job and to friends or strangers we meet along the way.

Until the next mission trip, I give God the glory for making this mission possible!

Mark 16: 15 - “Go into all the world and share the good news.”
