Temptation.

What’s the one food that really tempts your pallet? There’s nothing wrong with giving in every once in a while to that ice cream cone or that amazing looking doughnut. It’s when we continue eating these things day after day that becomes a problem.

When we’re speaking about our Christian faith, we must remember that no temporary pleasure is worth the permanent consequences of sin.

The Bible teaches that temptation is a normal human experience that is not sinful in itself, but it becomes sin when we choose to yield to it.

As long as you and I are in this physical body we are going to be tempted. Realize there is no sin in being tempted. Realize you and I do not have to YIELD to temptation in any way. Remember sin is a choice.

How about you? What tempts you to sin? Don’t try to be a super hero and think you can conquer sin yourself.

Give all your burdens to God today, and ask Him to help you with any temptation you face.

James 1:13-14 - “ When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.”
