The ultimate sacrifice!

I wonder how many people really know the true meaning of Easter? Jesus paid it all. He laid down His life for everyone of us. And yes, He died on the cross, taking all our sins with Him, but thank God above, Jesus rose from the grave on that third day! He validated His divinity and His victory over sin and death. But the best part of this whole plan was that He provided the promise of eternal life and salvation to believers.

That same great power that raised Christ from the dead now works in us who believe. Easter means there is hope for us, after all. As Jesus said, “Because I live, you also will live” (John 14:19).

Some minds are closed to the possibility that the resurrection occurred because belief would require a dramatic change of lifestyle. I can remember having this same thought process before I was saved. But giving up my old life changed me.

We are different from the world; set apart. We have to be the light to others who don’t know Jesus.

Just because someone lives the Christian life poorly doesn’t mean that Jesus isn’t worth following.  God doesn’t ask you to be like Christians; He asks you to be like Jesus Christ. That’s a big difference.

How about you? Are you ready for a radical makeover of your life? Are you ready to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior; the One who made the ultimate sacrifice?

Romans 10:9-10 - “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
