Priorities.

As Christians, we are called to make God our first priority. We all have priorities in life, including family, but God should come before every other commitment—even those closest to our hearts.

My first priority will always be to love God. For me, that commitment means living out His purposes for my life.

A relationship with God is the umbrella under which all our other priorities fall, including our responsibilities to family, work, and community. Without God, we will never be the parents, spouses, co-workers, or citizens we were meant to be. How about you—is your relationship with God your first priority?

Making God a priority in a busy life begins with a relationship with Him. Start each morning by reading God’s Word and talking to Him. Throughout the day, allow Him to lead you. Before you close your eyes at night, give God your last thoughts.

We are called to be ever mindful of God and quick to offer Him our praise and gratitude throughout the day. This does not mean He expects us to go through life constantly speaking prayers under our breath. What can you pause to praise Him for or thank Him for today?
