Am I doing this right?

Life is hard. There is no doubt about it. Just when you feel good about your circumstances, your relationships, even your health, BAM! It hits; comes from out of nowhere.

As a Christian, we may try to devote our time to reading the Bible, praying, helping others in need. But in the midst of all this, our car breaks down, the job stresses us out, our child gets sick. We start to wonder, what is happening and what am I doing wrong that would cause all this chaos?

You see, this is exactly what the devil wants us to think. Satan wants to make us feel like we’re doing something wrong and that God’s promises aren’t true. That is so far from the truth about our God, our Creator. God is at work and He’s on our side in every situation.

Trials are a part of life. It’s how we respond to these ‘bumps in the road’ that prove our character and our trust in God.

Seek God first. Tell Him your fears, your worries. Don’t try and figure it all out yourself. He sees you and if you’re His child, His devoted disciple, He will lead you in the right direction.

You may not feel like you’re doing things right when calamity is all around you, but if you’re trusting in God and asking Him for help, you’re going to live a more meaningful, purposeful life.

Let go and let God take the wheel. If you’re following God, nothing else matters.

Ephesians 1:18 - “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,”
