Neglect.

In the Bible, in James 4:17, it says, “To him who knows to do good, and does not do it, to him it is sin.”

There is neglect all around us. People neglect their kids, spouses, even elderly parents. Letting a needy person go hungry when you have the means to feed them is neglect.

But when we start to neglect our spiritual walk, we will go down a path of destruction if we’re not careful.

Negligence is a subtle sin that will slowly but surely destroy the life of a Christian.

When we gave our life to Christ, we should have gained a desire to help those in need. When we give to those less fortunate than ourselves, we’re essentially giving to God directly.

To use my free time in serving others is one of the greatest joys of my life. God put me right here, right now to carry out His work, His mission. “We are to do nothing out of selfish ambition, but in humility consider everyone else better than ourselves.” Philippians 2:3

You are serving Christ when you’re serving others.

Ask yourself today, “what would Jesus do,” and DO IT!
